BISBEE — Three nurses from Copper Queen Community Hospital recently completed coursework and advanced from Registered Nurse I to Registered Nurse II. The nurses include Renee Anderson, of Sierra Vista, who has been with the hospital for three years, Kristin Castro, of Bisbee, and Amber McLane, of Hereford, who has been with the hospital for four years.
Some of the additional qualifications of the new designation include:
•Current CPR, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation Program
•Critical care and/or Emergency care experience
•Ability to demonstrate clinical competence and maintain current knowledge in caring for all age groups of patients
•Extensive knowledge and practice of professional nursing, scientific research, administering medication, medical treatments and medical procedures, counseling and teaching techniques and use of medical equipment.
