The first annual D Hill 5K Run/Walk event, held around Airport Park and D Hill on March 19, raised over $7,903 to benefit the community’s Light the D project.

Event organizers from the Light the D Committee, Douglas Rotary Club, City of Douglas, and Douglas Unified School District, say that this race turned out to be a great success for all parties involved, exceeding expectations.

Seventy-eight runners, of all ages, participated in a competitive and just-for-fun lap.
