What is the Compliance Hotline?

The Compliance Hotline is an external, independent, confidential toll-free, 24hour/7 day-a-week telephone resource that allows you to report suspected illegal or unethical behavior within the organization, including - but not limited to - non-compliance with laws, regulations and policies; fraud, waste and/or abuse; discrimination; patient information privacy issues; criminal offenses; or other concerns. Callers may remain anonymous if they so choose.

 

When is it not appropriate to call the Compliance Hotline?

Anytime you believe patient/employee safety or quality are at risk. In this situation, you should contact your supervisor immediately. Similarly, if your reason for calling requires immediate attention, you should contact Patient Safety/Risk Management or the Corporate Compliance Officer.

 

What happens when I call the Compliance Hotline?

You will be instructed to leave a clear and detailed message, including the reason for the call and all necessary facts and details needed for a complete investigation. This could include the department or area of concern, names of individuals, or where evidence or documents depicting the concern may be located. After your message is saved, Taiga Guardian™ will transcribe this message and return a copy to Corporate Compliance Officer for immediate investigation and follow-up.
