Giving Back

Aside from the outstanding medical care Copper Queen Community Hospital provides, CQCH is also committed to improving the needs of the surrounding communities and participates in community-based events, fundraisers, and provides scholarships to help improve the lives of others. Below is an overview of how CQCH is giving back.

Brooks Nursing Scholarship – Through CQCH’s Development Fund Committee and donors, the Brooks Nursing Scholarship is used to help support Cochise Community College students planning careers in healthcare with scholarships of $1000 each.

 

Jane Delano Nursing Award – Each year, during National Nurses Week in May, an extraordinary CQCH nurse is recognized and awarded a $2,500 gift or scholarship.

Development Fund Scholarship – The CQCH Development Fund provides several scholarships to local students who are actively working toward careers in healthcare.  Deadline for 2017 – April 1, 2017.

Arizona Mobile Eye Care Unit – Thank you to the Arizona Medical Eye Clinic, Lions Club International and those who participated and/or donated to our annual charity golf tournament in 2016. Proceeds from the tournament provided more than 50 individuals with FREE eye care and glasses, and more than 400 people since the program was initiated. To be placed on the waiting list for our next eye clinic, please contact Mary 520-432-6435. Participants must be over the age of 21 and on AHCCCS.
